For Cleaners

Field troubleshooting and daily workflow.

Taking Photos

  1. 1.Open the job from your jobs list.
  2. 2.Find the checklist item with "Photo Required" — it has a blue badge.
  3. 3.Tap "Take Photo" — your camera opens inline.
  4. 4.Take the photo. You can crop it to 4:3 if needed, then confirm.
  5. 5.When you see "Photo added," the photo is saved and uploading.

Works offline — photos save to your phone and upload when you're back online. No WiFi needed to take photos.

iOS: iPhone: Settings → Privacy → Camera → find ClaroDone → turn on

Android: Android: Settings → Apps → ClaroDone → Permissions → Camera → turn on

GPS & Location

Starting a job requires location permission. If denied, the app blocks job start — turn on location in your phone settings.

Photos save without GPS — location is optional for photos.

You're at the right location.
You're close but outside the work zone. You can still complete the job.
You're outside the work zone. The app won't start the job from here.
No GPS signal. Photos and checklist still save.

Turn on location in your phone settings and step closer to the building entrance. The indicator changes to GPS Verified when you're inside the geofence.

App Crash or Battery Died Mid-Job?

Yes — your work is saved. The app auto-saves as you go. Force close and reopen to pick up where you left off. Photos save to your phone even if the app closes — take them now, everything will be there when you reopen.

Notifications

Not getting job alerts? Check notification permissions in the phone Settings app — not inside the app.

Client report emails going to spam? Check your spam folder. If missing, ask the account owner to verify your email is connected to the account.

Notifications are controlled from your phone settings, not inside the app. iPhone: Settings → Notifications → ClaroDone → toggle on/off. Android: Settings → Apps → ClaroDone → Notifications → toggle on/off.

Completing a Job

Check off all items, take required photos, then tap "Complete Job." If items or photos are missing, the app tells you exactly which ones. Managers and owners can force-complete with a note.

If a job is cancelled while you're on-site, photos you already took are saved and accessible to the account owner.

Inviting Team Members

Owners and managers can invite cleaners from the Team tab. Tap the "Invite" button (teal, top right). Enter their name and email, choose their role, and send. They'll receive login instructions by email.


For Owners

Account setup, team management, and billing.

Account Setup

1. From the dashboard, go to Locations → Add Location. Enter the address and set the GPS work zone (geofence). This determines when cleaners see "GPS Verified."

2. Go to Clients → Add Client. Connect the client to their location and set up their portal — they'll receive login instructions by email.

3. Go to Settings → Templates. Build your checklist and mark items "Photo Required" where documentation matters.

Managing Your Team

Go to Team → tap "Invite" (teal, top right). Enter name, email, and role (Cleaner or Manager) and send.

Roles: Roles: Cleaner — sees their own jobs only. Manager — sees all jobs, can manage team, can force-complete. Owner — full account access, can change billing and invite other owners.

To remove crew member access: Team → select person → Deactivate. Their work history stays on record.

To see what a cleaner did: open the completed job → "View History" → full checklist with timestamps and photos.

Client Portal

After a cleaner completes a job, the client gets an email with a link to their portal. Set delivery to Instant or Daily Digest in Client Settings.

Clients only see jobs and photos from locations connected to their account. They cannot see other clients' data.

Billing & Plans

Go to Settings → Billing. Choose Starter, Team, or Pro. Your 60-day free trial starts automatically.

If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your billing period. After that, your account becomes read-only — past records stay accessible.

Refund policy

Web subscriptions (clarodone.com): Contact support within 30 days. Monthly plans: non-refundable. Annual plans: pro-rated refund within 30 days.

App Store subscriptions: Refunds handled by Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → select ClaroDone → Report a Problem.

Google Play (coming soon): Refunds handled by Google.

Data retention

Photos and job records are kept for 3 years from the date of the job. Before deletion, you receive a 30-day notice and can export your data.

Reports & History

Go to Jobs → filter by date, location, or cleaner → select any job to see the full checklist and photos.

Open the job → tap "Export" → download PDF. Bulk CSV export is not available yet.
